The Child Holocaust of Negligence

This is nearly twice the number of victims of the Holocaust.

Every year.
Sunflower Children is a movement comprising people from all walks of life joining together to put a stop to this Child Holocaust within our lifetime by raising global awareness.Started in 1999 by Miss Czech Republic/supermodel Helena Houdova,Sunflower helps children around the world overcome the burdens of poverty, disease and disability to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining and contributing members of their communities.
Sunflower Children’s survival and development care encompasses: medical, nutritional, psychological, educational and other humanitarian support that nurtures survival, health, growth and independence for orphaned, disabled, abandoned, refugee and impoverished children throughout the world. Sunflower Children is headquartered in New York City and supports 12 operating projects in 8 countries:

We operate through a worldwide network of virtual volunteers and are funded by private benefactors whose generosity enables 100% of public donations to directly benefit a Sunflower child.
Who we are looking for:
Sunflower Children operates virtually rather than as a traditional bricks and mortar charity.Our website is central to our mission.By volunteering for Sunflower Children as a techinical web administrator you will be an integral part of this mission for Sunflower teams around the world.
We are looking for technical web designers possessing the following skills:
PHP, HTML, Flash, server administration for Linux, proficiency in Drupal.
It would be great if familiar with programming CMS templates (Drupal preferred)
The level of responsibility will really depend on how involved you want to be. Any amount of time you can give us will be helping our cause!We are a qualified 501c3 organization that can provide college/CEU credit for volunteers.All volunteering is primarily virtual with lots of opportunities for benefits and other social events.
