Volunteers are needed to participate in research studies at the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (NKI) in Orangeburg, New York. NKI is a facility of the New York State Office of Mental Health. After registering to be part of the Volunteer Recruitment Pool, you will find out which studies you may be eligible for. You can then choose which studies you would like to participate in. Examples include, but are not limited to, visual processing studies, MRI, EEG studies on visual and auditory stimuli, providing a blood sample for genetic studies, or simply filling out surveys and questionnaires. You are free to remain in the pool for as long as you’d like, or you can remove yourself at any time. Payment for registration in the Volunteer Recruitment Pool is $20. After that, you will be paid separately for each study you participate in. Call Laura Panek at 845-398-5521 or email panek@nki.rfmh.org or Alexis Moreno at 845-398-2184 or e-mail at amoreno@nki.rfmh.org for more information.
