Volunteers needed to assist individuals with disabilities at a cost free therapeutic riding program –L.I.R.H.A – currently riding in Syosset -Mondays and Tuesdays - two classes each day - 4:30 – 5:30 and 5:40 - 6:40, Fall and Spring sessions, choose a time and day that works for you!
Individuals must be at least 15 years olds. Volunteers will help children and adults with disabilities become participants in a wonderful riding experience by side walking or leading. Experience a plus, but love for horses is a must! You will observe that with greater freedom of movement these special individuals have the opportunity to increase their self-esteem, confidence, personal mobility and independence. Come and make a difference is someone’s life while enjoying great surroundings and fun people.
