OK, this may sound kooky, but we're a couple in our 30's with a dog in Williamsburg, Brooklyn who are looking to trade rooms with someone else in the neighborhood a few days a week, or a week or two per month.
We live in a really cute and sunny 2 bedroom not too far from the Bedford L.Roommate is amazing, though not home often (stays with boyfriend a lot). And she brings perks - free organic farm veggies from her job that fill our fridge. We also have a storefront directly below the apartment that is a large shared office and art studio. You would have access to both apartment and office (wifi + phone included), and in exchange we would crash in your pad with our pooch (a mellow well-behaved 11 year old dog that looks like a fox).We are well-behaved too.
Why the switcheroo?Because it's really nice to get some space - a retreat without it being an escape.We've been here for 10 years, living and working in the same space for much of the time. We love it here - don't want to move, but do want a periodic change of scenery.
Our space is clean, it feels good, it's a home.Looking for something in the Williamsburg or Greenpoint area that's along the same lines.
