Located in the West of Ireland, our beautiful country house is perched on a hill and overlooks the Lake Mask. It is right in the middle of an old forest, nearby another tiny lake (fishing possible) and a waterfall. It borders the stunning Connemara region and James Joyce's country. Near great hikes and golf courses. Renovated 4 years ago, the house has 6 bedrooms, all equipped with sinks. The common areas are large and comfy and there are two working fireplaces. The fully functional kitchen has an eat-in area. The house is located 2 minutes away from the village's grocery store and the two pubs. 1/2 hour from the towns of Westport and Castlebar, 2 hours from Shannon airport (daily flights from New York), 1 hour from Knock airport, 1 hour north of Galway, 4 hours from Dublin (trains run daily from We Pllstport). We are looking to swap this gorgeous house for the winter holidays (roughly December 19 through the 30th) with one in Brooklyn (Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Lefferts Gardens or Flatbush ideal). We are looking for a house with a minimum of 3 bedrooms. A large appartment would also be fine.
