Charming, lively lithograph overlooking Paris by the well-known French artist Raoul Dufy (1877-1953), done in his signature style. Fully framed and under glass, measures 15" x 11 1/2" including frame.

A little info from the net:
Raoul Dufy was born at Le Havre, in Normandy, one of a family of nine members. In 1895 when he was 18, he started evening classes in art at Le Havre École des Beaux-Arts. In 1900, after a year of military service, Raoul won a scholarship enabling him to attend the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was a fellow student with Georges Braque.

Dufy's cheerful oils, watercolours and lithographs depict Parisian scenes, yachting scenes, sparkling views of the French Riviera, chic parties and musical events. His distinctive, optimistic style, involving diminished perspective, outline, swift pen and brush strokes and an easy hand, soon brought him to prominence among collectors.

Dufy also acquired a reputation as an illustrator and an applied artist. He painted murals for public buildings, and produced a prodigious number of tapestries and ceramic designs. Dufy died near Forcalquier, France, on 23 March 1953, and was buried not far from Matisse in the Cimiez Monastery Cemetery in a suburb of Nice, France.
